Sri Rama Temple is located in the middle of the village. It was constructed when the village was originated. Loard Rama is kuladivam for most of the villagers. They have lot of faith in Lord Sri Rama.
Every year, Sri Rama Navami is celebrated in a grand way. Selective people will be sitting in for the Ramuluvari kalyanam that day. Vadapappu and panakam will be distributed to all the people who visits temple.
Temple has few accers of land, which will be leased out and the earned amount will be spent on the yearly maintenance of the temple.
The temple was reconstructed in 2007. To construct the temple villagers raised fund by donating some fixed amount per each acre they own. And the people who are employed contributed their one month salary. Also, lot of fund was raised from the surrounding places. In addition to that some people donated construction material like granite stones, steel, doors etc.
After reconstruction, temple was inaugurated in Apr 30th 2007. It took almost 5 years to complete the entire construction. The temple inauguration was done in a very grand way. Close to 8,000 people were present for the event.
Since the inauguration of the new temple, every year, in the last week of Apr on the eve of temple inauguration all the villagers are gathering in the village wherever they are to celebrate the 3 day event. Another reason to celebrate this every year is, to give an opportunity for everyone to a get-to-gather at lest once a year. Since Apr is the summer school vacation time for kids, it works out pretty well
Apart from the spiritual programs, men, women and children will have some competitions. The closing ceremony will be a big event with lot of stage shows, guests and award presentation to the winners.
