This region is one of the most fertile areas in India. Most of the farmlands are black fertile soiled. The climatic condition in this area are also very favorable for farming. Mainly crops like Cotton, Tobacco, Corn, and other Lentils are grown. There are some paddy fields close to the tributary growing wide varieties of rice and other food grains.
Farmers primarily depends on the rain for the farming. Depending on the monsoons, farmers changes their schedules for cropping.
Lot of agriculture is still being done by human labor. However, to an certain extent some machinery and tools are also being in use.
There is no diary farming but most of the farmers maintain few cattle for the household use of dairy products. Some farmer sells excess milk to some commercial diary / milk chilling centers.
